The FASD Network

The FASD Network started as a support group led by foster carers, adopters and birth families who were raising children with Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. They offer:

  • Training – We provide bespoke training for organisations requiring further knowledge about FASD and how to support services users more effectively.
  • Support – We provide support groups for families who are raising children with FASD on a termly basis. We also co-facilitate FASD UK a closed Facebook support group which provides daily input which in turn breaks isolation and offers timely solutions to daily needs.
  • Strategic Development – We work with a range of partners to examine structural service deficits in the UK and advocate for change across the northern regions.
  • Research – We conduct our own research and work with multi-agency partners to develop research opportunities which will address knowledge gaps and promote funding of services which are currently absent.
