Wellbeinginfo is an online directory covering the Sunderland and South Tyneside areas which aims to provide our local communities with information and resources to look after their own health and wellbeing as well as access local support. Through the directory we aim to provide you with up to date and relevant: information on health and wellbeing; links to useful websites, apps and documents; local and national news as well as local service information and contact details.
The directory started off as printed hardcopy guides which were commissioned in 2011 by Sunderland, South Tyneside, and Gateshead Primary Care Trusts. However, we quickly realised that information and services quickly changed and expanded, and printed copies rapidly became out of date.
To provide up-to-date resources, the online directory was launched in 2012 and has since remained quick to update so that it can reflect services as they change. With the online directory also came the ability for organisations to create their own profiles within the site and manage their own service information to better reflect what they have on offer within the site.
Over the years we have continued to update the site so that it can continue to support our communities whilst keeping up with the digital world, with any major changes being supported by those in our community. This includes a revamp and relaunch of our young people’s area in 2016, developed in partnership with local young people, which provided a new-look area for young people themselves as well as the parents/carers and professionals who support them, to easily access health and wellbeing information.
In 2022 we have continued to work with Imagine Creative and have been able to revamp and relaunch wellbeinginfo to; provide a modern look to the site, improve search functions to help you find what you are looking for faster, provide profiles for community members to save services and keep up with news, expanded profiles for organisations and a general refresh of the site!
We aim to provide you with up to date information and resources, but if you have any questions, or think something doesn’t look right, please contact us.
