Sunderland BME Network is a member-led, infrastructure charity (Charity No: 1130886) that supports and promotes the development of BME VCS groups in the City of Sunderland and neighbouring areas.
Our mission is to promote the black and minority ethnic voluntary and community sector for the benefit of the people of Sunderland, and the North East, and promoting the effective use of charitable resources by the black and minority ethnic VCS. The Network does this through providing a range of core functions:
Advocacy, advice and information
Commissioning / undertaking research
Acting as an umbrella or resource body
