Cryotherapy:
Whole Body Cryotherapy involves exposing the body to extremely low temperatures (-130 °C) for between 1 to 3 minutes. During the treatment you will stand alone in an individual-size enclosure. Your body will be inside the chamber while your head remains outside the top at room temperature.
HOW DOES WHOLE BODY CRYOTHERAPY WORK?
Whole Body Cryotherapy causes a reduction of tissue temperature and in core body temperature. This causes a shock to the body and, in turn, activates the nervous system through rising norepinephrine levels, increased blood pressure, and an increased heart rate. During this extreme cold, blood vessels constrict and therefore blood flow is reduced. This means that once you leave the chamber, your blood vessels expand and blood rushes to areas in need, helping with inflammation and leading to an increased presence of anti-inflammatory proteins. Muscle and tissue repair is enhanced by reduced inflammation from highly enriched, oxygenated blood, improved blood circulation and lymphatic detoxification.
WHAT DOES WHOLE BODY CRYOTHERAPY DO?
Through cryotherapy, sports performance is enhanced by increased energy and the natural endorphin “high”, along with reduced perception of symptomatic pain. Muscle and tissue repair is enhanced by reduced inflammation from highly enriched, oxygenated blood, improved blood circulation and lymphatic detoxification. Recovery from injury occurs more quickly in the anti-inflammatory and enhanced-blood-flow environment and Delayed Onset Muscular Soreness (DOMS) is significantly reduced. Mental recovery is also accelerated due to energy increase and release of endorphins.

WHAT IS FLOATATION THERAPY?
Floatation therapy is the practice of lying back in one of our world-leading floatation tanks and experiencing a blissful, healing state.
HOW FLOATATION THERAPY WORKS
The water in each pod contains half a tonne of Epsom salt, allowing you to float effortlessly. It matches the temperature of your skin and the air, giving you the feeling of complete weightlessness. It’s usually pitch black and silent in the pod too, unless you wish to have relaxing music, or the light on. Free from sensory input, the muscular-skeletal system and sympathetic nervous system wind down into a state of deep relaxation and serenity, in which your body and mind can heal and replenish – resulting in many benefits, like reduced stress and better sleep. A float lasts for 1 hour, with 10 minutes of ambient music at the beginning to help you relax – or longer if you request it. You have full control of opening and closing the pod, and of the light inside it. Music starts again to signal 5 minutes before the end of your float.

HOW DOES HYDROTHERAPY MASSAGE WORK?
The Hydrotherapy Massage System is a completely self-contained hydro -massage bed. This offers a convenient, dry full body massage with the use of pressurised water to target areas of the body using two jets. Simply lie down in the open design bed, fully clothed, and feel the immediate benefits of the travelling jet system, which delivers and “all sides” body massage.
