Friends Action North East
Friends Action North East (FANE) was established in 2004, is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and the sole purpose of their team is to help adults in the North East of England with learning disabilities to make and keep friends. FANE champions friendship, raising expectations and creating opportunities to do ordinary things. Lockdown has been difficult for many of us and has at times felt very isolating. FANE continue to support people at this time to remain connected with those around them, particularly through their one to one mentoring project which currently runs online for adults with learning disabilities or autism.
