Settled offers you the ability to volunteer to support vulnerable or hard-to-reach EU citizens in your community with their Settled Status application in preparation for Brexit.
What is ‘Settled’?
Settled is a new charity working with vulnerable and hard to reach EU/EEA citizens in the UK. Their mission is to reach out to those who are at risk of losing their right to live and work in the UK after Brexit. They aim to guide, inform and assist them with the Settlement Scheme application process.
They are actively building partnerships with other organisations to reach as many EU citizens as possible and make sure nobody is left behind. Through their in-depth knowledge of the EU settlement scheme and their well connected local and national network of volunteers, they are strategically placed to deliver their services.
What is the volunteering opportunity and why volunteer?
Settled call their volunteers ‘Settled Status Angels’, as they reach out to as many EU citizens as possible who may struggle with their applications to Settled Status.
They are always looking for volunteers with understanding and knowledge of the EU Settlement Scheme, and with excellent links within their EU communities. As a Settled Status Angel you will guide, inform, and assist EU citizens and their family members about the EU Settlement Scheme and their rights after Brexit.
Settled will train you on the EU Settlement Scheme, protect you with their Indemnity Insurance and give you all the tools to make a difference in your community. You will gain new skills, such as an OISC Level 1 for the EU Settlement Scheme registration.
