If you live in Thorney Close or the surrounding areas and are out of work, Sunderland North Community Business Centre offer a range of services aiming to connect ‘Local people to Local jobs’.
These services are based in Thorney Close Action and Enterprise Centre, Thorndale Road, SR34JQ.
They have experienced staff, who can support you with:
- Information, advice and guidance to consider your options
- Using computers for job search, creating email and a ‘Find a Job’ service account
- How to look for work including creating a CV
- Training courses to develop your employment skills
- Finding out about local volunteering opportunities
- Access to full-time and part-time jobs with a job club every Monday and Wednesday
The service is available Monday to Friday 9am-1pm and 1:30pm-4pm
