A booklet of key support
During their engagement with the community, Healthwatch Sunderland heard concerns about the lack of information available on local support services for carers when supporting their loved ones with dementia.
Following this, they worked with carers and local services to create a booklet of key information for those living with dementia and their carers; ‘Support available for people experiencing memory difficulties or dementia in Sunderland’.
The booklet has a number of useful sections which can be downloaded as one booklet or as mini booklets:
- Day care
- Eating and drinking
- End of life and bereavement
- Finances
- Getting out and about
- Housing and your home
- Local support services
- Memory protection services
- Mental Health
- Physical Health
- Social Care
- And more.
