Who are Sunderland Carers?
Sunderland Carers’ Centre offers confidential information, advice, listening ear, and support service to carers throughout the City of Sunderland (including Houghton-le-Spring, Hetton-le-Hole, Easington Lane and Washington). They offer Monthly carer support groups where carers can meet others in a similar situation; Young carers, Male carers, Parent carers, Transition support, Coalfield carers, Washington Carers, Sunderland carers, Partners group, drop in, mental health carers, knitting group (The Twiddle Muff Gang) Essence outreach (dementia), Carers’ assessments, SEND, Independent Support Workers (EHC) Signposting Service, Support at meetings with health, social care services and other agencies.
New charity lottery
For £2 per month (payable annually), you can have your cake and eat it with Sunderland Carer’s Centre’s new lottery. 50% of total monthly payments will go back into their charity and will be used to benefit unpaid carers from the age of 5 across the City.
Drawn monthly, the lottery offers 1st prize of Afternoon Team for 4 at Spanish City, Whitley Bay worth £100 and a 2nd prize of 50% off your total monthly payments. More prizes may also be available depending on total funds.
