Washington Community Food Project

The Washington Community Food Project (Washington Food Bank) is a food bank covering the whole of Washington and Springwell, Tyne & Wear.

We are an independent charity, run solely by a team of dedicated volunteers.  We rely on the goodwill and generosity of our local community for donations, in order to provide short-term, emergency food parcels, to those in need.

The amount of food we have in stock can vary and depends on the donations we receive. We are only able to share what we have, and so food parcels will vary from time to time and from site to site.

To get a food parcel you should ask a referral agency to fill out a referral form.  You can then take the form to one of our sites at the times they are open.
