Sunderland Grieving Parents Support Group
We, Sunderland Grieving Parents Support Group, are here to help to navigate through your emotions as you grieve the very life changing impact that occurs after child loss regardless of age or circumstance .
We are real parents walking alongside each other who have accsessed this group and find support in each other by attending weekly meetings in a safe enviroment where our voices can be heard and our. Child is remembered in a positive light ,and there name can be spoken openly .
Everybody’s situation is different ,but this is your journey .
We are here to support by focusing on your
- Positive mental attitude
- Physical health
- Overall wellbeing
We do have light exercise, meditation ,creative crafts and other therapies integrated into some of the weekly sessions to balance positive mindset and focus ,what we as grieving parents refer to as our survival Bible .
We have made lasting friendships based on mutual respect ,and understanding .
We have found that using a Plan to help us focus and keep ourselves mentally well massively helps to reduce the negative mental impact that such a loss can have on our physical health and helps us to. Cope better with our daily struggles.
This is done by putting together coping mechanisms and peer support.
WE ARE A DIVERSE AND FULLY INCLUSIVE GROUP
