- Direct work with people who are concerned about their behaviour towards their partner and/or ex-partner, including a structured 10 to 26-week programme.
- Proactive support to the partners and ex-partners of people referred to the service.
- Briefings and trainings for professionals who want to strengthen their response to harmful behaviour in current or previous relationships.
- Community outreach, including to the friends and family around relationships where harmful behaviour is happening.

Training for professionals
We offer a range of different training packages for professionals, completely free of charge, to meet the needs of your role or organisation. Our trainings give you and your team the tools to recognise harmful behaviour in relationships, to respond effectively and safely, and to make referrals.
Recognise, Respond and Refer training
If you have a role that means you’re building relationships with people and/or entering their homes, you might have experienced that ‘gut feeling’ that tells you something isn’t quite right in their relationship, or witnessed something that shouldn’t be happening. Our free Recognise, Respond and Refer training session can support you to recognise the signs of harmful behaviour, respond safely and effectively, and refer on to Make a Change. You can book through Eventbrite.
Not a professional but interested in understanding more?
Our Make Change Happen workshops are for people who are concerned that someone they know is using harmful behaviour towards a partner or ex-partner, as well as for people who want to learn more about unhealthy behaviour in relationships. (Please note that these workshops are not suitable for people concerned about their own behaviour or their partner or ex-partner’s behaviour.)
Friends, family members, neighbours and colleagues are often the first to know when things are going wrong in a relationship, but it can be hard to know what to say or do. By helping people identify when others are using harmful behaviour and empowering them to be part of the solution, we can encourage people to think about the harm they’re causing and get support as early as possible. Find out more on our Make Change Happen webpage.
If you’re worried about someone else’s relationship, you can also get in touch with local service, Findaway, on 03001400061.
