All Together Sunderland are looking to understand how within some communities, some people can become lonely or isolated. In order to do this, they are interest in finding out how different people spend their time and what they do.
This research study is aimed at understanding the experiences and impact of isolation and loneliness within communities. In order to do this, All Together Sunderland are interested in finding out how different people spend their time and what they do. Please note, this does not mean that they are isolated or lonely – they are investigating how all people spend their time.
Why they are doing this:Â The evidence-base suggests that the negative effect of loneliness/social isolation on mortality can surpass the well-known risk factors such as obesity, physical activity; and can have a similar impact to cigarette smoking.
How can you help? Please can you hand out copies of this advert to anyone accessing your service who meets the selection criteria below?
Selection criteria: Anyone aged 18 years of age or over except people with intellectual impairments, severe mental illness or dementia.
