At YMCA Wearside Ltd we work with disadvantaged young people and adults right across our four main sites. We work with them regardless of their gender, race or faith, develop their skills and support them to enhance and turn their lives around.  As an inclusive Christian Movement, we work with communities across the country so they may truly belong, contribute and thrive.

Our work includes working with homeless young people and adults, helping young offenders turn from crime and giving young people and adults the skills to reach their potential.

YMCA Wearside Ltd is a leading children and young people’s charity. We work in Sunderland and County Durham, supporting some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people and adults.

No child, young person or adult should have to face life’s difficulties alone and we support a wide range of people some of whom may be experiencing extremely traumatic challenges such as homelessness, domestic violence, abuse, poverty, unemployment or mental health problems.

We have been operating for the past 17 years and have worked with thousands of children, young people and adults helping them to become happy, fulfilled adults who can belong, contribute and thrive in society.
