Fuel Poverty Awareness Day 2025
Fuel Poverty Awareness Day (FPAD) is an annual campaign, coordinated by National Energy Action (NEA) which aims to raise awareness of the millions of people in the UK who will be struggling to keep their homes warm this winter.
This year, the theme will focus on the experience of children living in fuel poverty and how their health, comfort and life chances are put at risk, simply from living in a cold home.
Millions of people – including children are in fuel poverty, with a growing mountain of debt putting pressure on those least able to afford it. The energy crisis has been going on for over four years, meaning household budgets have been stretched and many are struggling in cold and unhealthy homes. Debt is at record levels. The situation is stark, with people either having to accrue debt or live in homes that will negatively impact their physical and mental health.

What is National Energy Action?
National Energy Action is the national charity working to end fuel poverty in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. They offer advice and support to fuel-poor households in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as advocating for policy and regulation to protect the most vulnerable households.
