What is Sunderland Libraries Literature Festival?
Sunderland Libraries Literature Festival is here from Friday 28th September 2018 until Saturday 3rd November 2018 and is Sunderland Libraries’ annual celebration of the written word and it has something for everyone!
The programme has events taking place across the City in various local venues, on different days and times with features many local artists, authors and local themes. Highlights include a Murder Mystery evening, Luke Wright’s ‘Frankie Vah’, folk musician Jez Lowe and the Muddy Choir.

Is there a cost for the events in the festival?
The majority of the events are FREE, although donations are welcome. If you need further information about any event or the event requires booking, please enquire at the venue where the event will take place.
If you haven’t been to the festival or a library service event before, look through the programme and try something new. You’ll be surprised at what’s on offer. Local venues are beinSunderland Libraries Literature Festival 2018g used, so you should be able to find something near to where you live.

Is there anything I should know before I attend?
- Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all events
