What is a Recovery College?
There are several Recovery Colleges running all across the country and one has recently started in South Tyneside, but what is a recovery college? They offer educational courses and training programmes about wellbeing, mental health and recovery which are designed to increase knowledge and skills and to help people to feel more confident in self-management of their own mental health and wellbeing.

South Tyneside Recovery College is excited to promote its first prospectus for January – April 2019. The college hasn’t been running very long but they are delivering some great activities, groups and courses to help individuals to understand and better manage their mental health and wellbeing.
New courses include:
- Assertiveness course
- Positive psychology
- Introduction to health and wellbeing
- Confidence course
- And more!
