What is the Sunderland Libraries Literature Festival?

Sunderland Libraries Literature Festival is the annual celebration of the written word and there is something for everyone. The programme features many local artists, authors and local themes, with highlights including the Quiet Compere, Nancy Revell, Mary Ann Cotton – Angel of Death, History Wardrobe present the Red Ribbon and Spectral Visions Book Launch. A celebrated programme
for adults and children, readers, writers and illustrators.

If you haven’t been to the festival or a library service event before, look through the programme and try something new. You’ll be surprised at what’s on offer. Local Sunderland venues are being used, so you should be able to find something near to where
you live.

Is there a cost?

The majority of the events are FREE, although donations are welcome. If you need further information about any event or the event requires booking, please enquire at the venue where the event will take place or click here.
